DESCRIPTION:📍 Skaline\, HERCEG NOVI |24. maj 2026.|10:00 \n*English Below* \nOvogodišnji Festival vjetra donosi snažan adrenalinski segment kroz Urban Downhill trku u Herceg Novom\, koja će biti održana u nedjelju\, 24.maja\, kao finalni sportski događaj festivala. \nNakon prethodnih izdanja na padinama Vrmca\, WindFest Downhill Race se ove godine seli u urbani ambijent Herceg Novog\, gdje će prepoznatljive kamene skaline postati dinamična trkačka staza. Start je planiran kod tvrđave Španjola\, a trasa vodi sve do gradske luke Škver\, prolazeći kroz Stari grad i glavni trg kod Sat kule. Dužina staze iznosi oko 1\,3 kilometra\, a vožnje traju približno tri minuta. \nTrka se vozi u downhill formatu\, uz dvije do tri probne vožnje\, nakon čega slijede kvalifikacije i finalna trka planirana u popodnevnim satima. Staza je tehnički pristupačna\, što otvara prostor i za veći broj lokalnih takmičara\, ali i za dolazak vozača iz regiona — očekuju se učesnici iz Srbije\, Bosne i Hercegovine\, Hrvatske i šire. \nPoseban kvalitet događaju daje i podrška partnera i sportskih organizacija- Biciklističkog kluba Durmitor kao suorganizatora\, Biciklističkog saveza Crne Gore\, kao i Triatlon kluba Herceg Novi koji će biti zadužen za mjerenje vremena. Potvrđena je i podrška brenda Red Bull. \nProgram počinje već u petak\, 22.maja\, mini događajem na pumptrack stazi u Igalu\, dok je subota rezervisana za revijalni event u Borićima na Dizarici — vožnju kroz šumske staze koje razvija lokalna zajednica\, s ciljem promocije i podrške daljem razvoju off road biciklističkih staza u Boki Kotorskoj. \nNedjeljna trka predstavlja spoj sporta\, brzine i jedinstvenog ambijenta\, pretvarajući Herceg Novi u pozornicu vrhunskog adrenalinskog spektakla. Nakon takmičenja\, program se nastavlja uz muziku i druženje\, a završava se after partyjem u Cafe Radiju. \nOrganizaciju događaja podržavaju Opština Herceg Novi\, Sportski centar i Turistička organizacija Herceg Novi\, čime ovaj događaj dodatno potvrđuje svoj značaj na mapi regionalnih sportskih i festivalskih dešavanja. \nDogadjaj startuje okupljanjem na Škveru u 9h\, prvi transport takmičara predviđen je u 10h. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n📍 Skaline\, Herceg Novi | May 24\, 2026 | 10:00 AM \nThis year’s Festival of the Wind brings a powerful adrenaline-fueled segment through the Urban Downhill race in Herceg Novi\, which will take place on Sunday\, May 24\, as the final sports event of the festival. \nAfter previous editions held on the slopes of Vrmac\, the WindFest Downhill Race is moving this year into the urban setting of Herceg Novi\, where the recognizable stone stairways will become a dynamic racing track. The start is planned near the Španjola Fortress\, while the route leads all the way down to the Škver city port\, passing through the Old Town and the main square by the Clock Tower. The track length is approximately 1.3 kilometers\, with rides lasting around three minutes. \nThe race will be held in downhill format\, with two to three practice runs followed by qualifications and the final race scheduled for the afternoon hours. The track is technically accessible\, opening the opportunity for a larger number of local competitors as well as riders from across the region — participants are expected from Serbia\, Bosnia and Herzegovina\, Croatia\, and beyond. \nAn additional quality element of the event comes from the support of partners and sports organizations — the Durmitor Cycling Club as co-organizer\, the Cycling Federation of Montenegro\, as well as the Herceg Novi Triathlon Club\, which will be responsible for timekeeping. Support from the brand Red Bull has also been confirmed. \nThe program already begins on Friday\, May 22\, with a mini event at the pumptrack course in Igalo\, while Saturday is reserved for an exhibition event in Borići at Dizarica — a ride through forest trails being developed by the local community\, aimed at promoting and supporting the further development of off-road cycling trails in the Bay of Kotor region. \nSunday’s race represents a combination of sport\, speed\, and a unique atmosphere\, transforming Herceg Novi into the stage of a top-tier adrenaline spectacle. After the competition\, the program continues with music and social gatherings\, ending with an afterparty at Cafe Radio. \nThe organization of the event is supported by the Municipality of Herceg Novi\, the Sports Center\, and the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi\, further confirming the event’s significance on the map of regional sports and festival happenings. \nThe event starts with gathering at Škver at 9:00 AM\, while the first transport of competitors is scheduled for 10:00 AM.
