The conference is jointly organized by Jedriličarski klub Delfin\, the Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor of the University of Montenegro\, and the Institute of Marine Biology of the University of Montenegro\, with the support of the municipalities of Tivat and Kotor. \nThrough dialogue between policymakers\, scientists\, and the community\, the conference aims to address key issues related to coastal zone management\, marine environmental protection\, and the preservation of the cultural landscape of the Bay of Kotor. \nThe importance of the conference has also been recognized internationally — The Ocean Race Europe has highlighted this initiative on its official website\, emphasizing its educational and social contribution within the broader mission of protecting the world’s oceans. \nThe entire conference is chaired by Zorica Đurović\, Vice Dean for Development and Communications at the Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor\, while the organization of the Tivat segment is led by Slavi Petović\, scientific advisor at the Institute of Marine Biology Kotor of the University of Montenegro. \nThe Kotor segment of the conference focuses on the issue of sustainably regulating cruise tourism in the context of UNESCO protection of Kotor and the Bay of Kotor. \nThe panel discussion will gather representatives of port authorities\, government institutions\, experts in maritime safety and protected area management\, as well as international guests from Croatia with experience in regulating navigation in protected zones. Tivatska regata krstaša UNA Montenegro CUP\, jedna od najdugovječnijih i najprepoznatljivijih regata krstaša u Boki Kotorskoj. \nTivatska regata krstaša već dvije decenije okuplja jedriličare iz Crne Gore i regiona\, zadržavajući isti format i prepoznatljivu rutu\, po kojoj je postala jedinstvena u akvatorijumu Boke Kotorske. \nStart regate je kod Ponte Seljanova\, nakon čega flota oplovljava ostrvo Gospa od milosti i ostrvo Sveti Marko\, nastavlja jedrenje kroz tjesnac Ralo\, a potom ide do i oko ostrva pred Perastom. Cilj regate je na Ponti Seljanova\, čime se zatvara atraktivna i zahtjevna ruta koja povezuje gotovo sve ključne morske tačke unutrašnjeg zaliva. Ovakva trasa daje regati poseban karakter\, istovremeno testirajući taktičko znanje\, izdržljivost i vještinu posada. \nKao i prethodnih godina\, očekuje se učešće značajnog broja krstaša različitih klasa\, a UNA Montenegro CUP i ove godine ostaje više od sportskog nadmetanja – susret zaljubljenika u more i jedrenje\, i ključni dio Festivala vjetra\, manifestacije posvećene očuvanju kulture života uz more i promociji Boke Kotorske kao atraktivne jedriličarske destinacije. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n📍 JK Delfin\, Tivat | April 26\, 2026 | 11:00 AM \nAs part of the Festival of the Wind\, on Sunday\, April 26\, 2026\, the 21st Tivat Cruiser Regatta UNA Montenegro CUP will be held — one of the longest-running and most recognizable cruiser regattas in the Bay of Kotor. \nFor more than two decades\, the Tivat Cruiser Regatta has brought together sailors from Montenegro and the wider region\, maintaining the same format and recognizable route that has made it unique within the waters of the Bay of Kotor. \nThe regatta starts near Ponta Seljanova\, after which the fleet sails around the islands of Gospa od Milosti and Sveti Marko\, continues through the Ralo Strait\, and then heads toward and around the islands near Perast. The finish line is once again at Ponta Seljanova\, completing an attractive and demanding route that connects nearly all the key maritime points of the inner bay. This course gives the regatta its distinctive character while testing the crews’ tactical knowledge\, endurance\, and sailing skills. \nAs in previous years\, participation from a significant number of cruisers across different classes is expected. Onim mjestima gdje se lako prepoznamo u stihovima o slobodi\, putovanjima\, ljubavi i malim\, ali važnim životnim izborima. Bajaga’s music has always belonged to open spaces — streets\, squares\, and coastlines. Places where we easily recognize ourselves in lyrics about freedom\, travel\, love\, and the small yet important choices in life. Regata je prepoznata kao događaj koji\, pored rezultata\, u fokus stavlja učenje\, druženje i razvoj ljubavi prema moru i jedrenju. \nTakmičenja će se održavati u klasama Optimist I ILCA\, a regatno polje u Tivatskom zalivu ponovo će se ponovo potvrditi  kao idealan prostor za nadmetanja u malim klasama brodova – pregledan\, zaštićen i istovremeno dovoljno izazovan za sticanje novih jedriličarskih znanja. \nMala tivatska regatta Gadbois CUP nosi snažnu simboliku podrške razvoju mladih sportista i jedrenja kao dijela lokalnog identiteta\, a održavanje regate u okviru Festivala vjetra dodatno naglašava povezanost sporta\, edukacije i kulture života uz more. \nOrganizator regate je Jedriličarski klub Delfin\, uz podršku Richard and Frances Gadbois Foundation\, partnera Festivala vjetra i crnogorske jedriličarske zajednice. The regatta is recognized as an event that places learning\, friendship\, and the development of a love for the sea and sailing at the center\, alongside sporting results. \nCompetitions will be held in the Optimist and ILCA classes\, while the regatta field in Tivat Bay will once again confirm itself as an ideal venue for small-boat competitions — clear\, protected\, and at the same time sufficiently challenging for gaining new sailing skills and experience. \nThe Little Tivat Regatta Gadbois CUP carries strong symbolism in supporting the development of young athletes and preserving sailing as part of the local identity.
